Question about medication levels

Dear Malibran, Do not stop taking the medication. If you can't get into your doctor for a week, call their office and tell the receptionist you are having side effects from your medication, they should put you through to the doctor right away. If they don't, tell them you need to speak to the doctor. Susanne

Hi there, Last year I started taking Zoloft at a low dosage, once a day and it worked extremely well. I went off it in November without my doctor's knowledge and the depression came back. So I went to another clinic a few weeks ago and got a repeat prescription. I've only just noticed the new doctor gave me a script for 100mg Zoloft/day. I've now been taking it for two weeks. The effect is horrible. I have high levels of agitation and anxiety, but I can't get in to see my doctor for a week. What should I do? Stop taking it? Take less of it? Or is this a side effect which will go away? Does anybody have any advice? Thanks, Malibran
